Voice and data horizontal station cables (typically Category 3 and Category 5 & 6 Enhanced copper) provide communications from the telecommunications closet (TC) to the user workstation. GMT terminates the copper cables onto wall-mounted 110 punchblocks (for voice services) and rack-mounted CAT 5 modular patch panels (for data services). GMT installs horizontal and vertical wire management panels to properly route patch cords between the termination panels and networking equipment (i.e., switches, routers, servers, UTMs and other gateway devices).

note: All new copper cables are identified at each end with computer-generated labels. Each cable is certified to CAT 3 or CAT 5e & CAT6 specifications with hard-copy test results provided. As-built Visio drawings identify cable numbering schemes, office room numbers, and computer equipment placement.
